In this class I learned the multiple tenses of Spanish. The professor made me feel comfortable with making mistakes and emphasized the importance of going beyond understanding the language and instead learning to apply it.
We learned new conjugations including the future tense and the subjunctive while also learning about the cultural significance of Spanish in New York City. We learned a lot of new vocabulary words along with many new grammar rules.

I haven't taken Spanish in years, so the first few weeks were challenging, but it was good because it pushed me. I re-learned a lot of what I had forgotten and gained so much more confidence. I now feel comfortable switching between past tense, present, conditional, and future and can actually hold a comfortable conversation. My writing has gotten a lot better and I actually enjoy practicing my Spanish now. I've taken Spanish off and on for years, but I think this has honestly been the best class yet, because I couldn't hide behind 20 other students.
