The only assignments were the unit homeworks only the only textbook which could span from 30-45 activities so that would take an hour or two depending on your understanding of the material and the effort put into the exercises since notes are also easily accessible. There was also a group project (with groups already made) that was introduced early enough to be productive on it. Not much research was required and with a couple hours dedicated to it, your part could easily be complete.

I learned grammar and vocabulary in Spanish and learned how to speak and write a basic amount.

I learned how to strengthen my grammar and writing skills in Spanish. I learned about the culture of many Spanish-speaking countries and also learned about gender/poltical issues in these countries. Finally, I learned how to improve my speaking skills through pre-class discussions on artwork and during in class group work.

We learned conversational Spanish that would help us apply to international jobs and help the environment. This was a great class! The professor is really nice, engaging, and has a sense of humor. It was not as much of crazy change from Elementary Spanish as I expected, except for adjusting to him speaking in Spanish for majority of the class. However, if you exceeded in the previous level and have a decent grip on you language and translation skills then this shouldn't be too much of a problem. The content and lessons are easy to follow. Class begins with notes and then interactive textbook exercises as a group for the rest of class. Ultimately, a pretty easygoing class to fulfill the language requirement in general.

This course fed my mind. I feel it improved memory, concentration, and mental flexibility.

How to converse in Spanish in present tense, basic fundamental vocab and grammar, how to be more confident speaking spanish.

The more complicated and nuanced rules for speaking Spanish, particularly in self expression and academic writing.

The basics of speaking/writing in present tense of Spanish

Professor Duran-Garcia was incredibly accomodating and helpful and wanted to help us succeed. He was reassuring in class discussions and pointed us in the right direction. I think that the workload was fair and still allowed me to learn new material without being too stressful and overwhelming.
