I improved my Spanish language skills, especially in writing and speaking, while gaining cultural insights and a deeper appreciation for the language. The discussions helped me think critically and express myself confidently.

Daily homework - mostly quick textbook activities, occasional written assignments Five units, with one presentation and one quiz per unit. Both are manageable - for the quizzes especially just make sure you have familiarized yourself with the "recursos lingüísticos" at the end of each chapter, and you'll be set!

I learned more grammar, vocabulary, and how to speak conversationally

I love Loli; she is SO sweet and energetic! Homework mainly consists of interactive problems in the textbook, which are really straightforward and are only graded on completion at the end of each unit. The frequent quizzes/presentations (one per unit) felt like a lot at first, but as the semester went on, they felt much more manageable. Loli is not that harsh of a grader, and she provides great feedback; you can tell she really wants you to improve and develop more confidence. You're not allowed to use any script for the presentations, which scared me at first - but again, she is very encouraging, and at least for me, my speaking skills were much better than I thought they were!

I completed my learning of Spanish tenses (past, present, future) while being exposed to the cultures in Spanish-speaking countries.

I LOVE LOLI. I initially chose to take her class after reading reviews here about the supportive environment she creates where you're not afraid to make mistakes. As someone who typically hesitates to even raise their hand, our class had gotten to know each other and comfortable by halfway through that sometimes we would instead compete to answer the question first. Frequent group projects were sometimes stressful but I got to know everyone in the class (and still say hi to them)! I got pretty good at speaking in Spanish due to our frequent oral presentations (5 min of speaking with a script if needed, with a group--you'll be okay).

Learned a lot of vocabulary and grammer in Intermediate 1.

Each class Loli had brief activities in reading, listening, and writing, with homework assigned on top of the textbook activities (so much homework omg). There are multiple group projects and no extra credit. There wasn’t a midterm, and none of the tests were cumulative (just end-of-chapter exams) except for the final which was a 5 minute oral test. She grades on the harsher side, and project instructions were usually given to us only a couple classes before they were due. TLDR Loli is a good teacher, but the class and homework are not forgiving.

TO TAKE SPANISH, and the conversational part as more important and how to be able to apply it better in my own proficiency.
