I learned much about the world of environmental policy and how it is applied in several forms in our country.

GLiOsaV DERalNeANCE · 2021 · 2021

In this class, I learned about the process of policymaking, the people involved, and how we approach problem solving through a policy lens. Some of the notable skills I have learned include summary and analysis of current events and policy, public speaking and debate, as well as general information about past and current environmental policy in the U.S. and sometimes abroad.

Lisa Dale · 2023 · 2023

Skills to study material and to write essays weekly, on time.

GLiOsaV DERalNeANCE · 2021 · 2021

Lots of fun stuff! Policy! Environmentalism!

Lisa Dale · 2023 · 2023

Lots about policies and governance, and their processes, relating to environmental issues in the United States, with some expansion internationally.

GLiOsaV DERalNeANCE · 2021 · 2021

I learned many concepts surrounding environmental policy and governance and how to apply them to current events and news articles. I learned how to have an unbiased perspective in policy analysis.

Lisa Dale · 2023 · 2023

A good overview of the US environmental system. History and present.

GLiOsaV DERalNeANCE · 2021 · 2021

Analysis of new articles, US policy systems, issues and solutions/research arguments.

Lisa Dale · 2023 · 2023

I definitely learned a lot about the American political system, and specifically how it applies to environmental policy. I was able to situate a lot of the knowledge I had in terms of environment and sustainability on a smaller scale, within the scale of the American superstructure. I definitely also got better at analyzing readings, as the weekly writing assignments forced me to fully digest and grapple with the readings rather than just skimming through them. I think this class also made me a bit more cynical about environmental and climate progress, as well as more sympathetic toward politicians.

GLiOsaV DERalNeANCE · 2021 · 2021

I was given such a good base of the political implications of environmental policy. I truly learned so much, and then could apply it to my other courses.
