In this class, I learned about the process of policymaking, the people involved, and how we approach problem solving through a policy lens. Some of the notable skills I have learned include summary and analysis of current events and policy, public speaking and debate, as well as general information about past and current environmental policy in the U.S. and sometimes abroad.

Lots of fun stuff! Policy! Environmentalism!

I learned many concepts surrounding environmental policy and governance and how to apply them to current events and news articles. I learned how to have an unbiased perspective in policy analysis.

Analysis of new articles, US policy systems, issues and solutions/research arguments.

I was given such a good base of the political implications of environmental policy. I truly learned so much, and then could apply it to my other courses.

I learned a fair amount about introductory environmental policy.

Allowing for a Zoom/hybrid option when necessary. Definitely not used as a replacement to being in class, just for overall accessibility.

This was an interesting course that serves as a great introduction to political science and sustainable development. Prof. Dale is a great teacher who works to make lectures informative and interesting.
