Svetlana Rosis · 2022 · 2022

I learned a little bit about each of the topics of Psychology that might get covered in later courses. I was taking this class for my science requirement, so I appreciated the overview of a large variety of topics instead of going very deeply into a few. I have already brought up many of the topics we learned in discussions with my family and friends-- I see the topics of Psychology as very applicable to everyday life. I definitely think that everyone should take this course.

3 Tests (4 or 5 Chapters each) - 23% each 1 paper - 23% Class attendance and participation - 8%

Alexandra Horowitz · 2013 · 2013

2 exams (midterm and final). Final is non-cumulative. Exams are 2/3 of grade. 2 experiments which are 1/3 of grade. If you participate a lot (about once a class or once a week since the lecture is so large) she will raise your overall grade by 1/2 (ex. an A- to raised to an A)

Patricia Stokes · 2025 · 2025

tests are pretty easy (lots of EC on them too), just need to do the type talks and memorize those. a few essays throughout the course, dont have to be written well--just have to include all the info on the type talks.

Eugene Galanter · 2006 · 2006

Three queerly formatted quizzes, intense stack of readings you'll end up doing the night before the quizzes.

John Thorp · 2025 · 2025

Attendance/quizzes 15%, experiment thing (3 page descriptive paper basically) 10%, midterms 45% (15% each, 3x, multiple choice), final 30 to 75% (if you did better you could replace your midterms). you could also earn back a certain amount of points that you lost on midterms.

Sarah Demoya · 2026 · 2026

Weekly post-class quizzes often 10 ish questions and 3 attempts (5%), participation in studies and reflection (5%), attendance (5% four worst are dropped), midterms x4 (45% worst score is dropped), writing reflections/assignments x3 (15%) final (25%) 3 extra credit points available to be added to final score in the form of surveys and writing assignments. Midterms and final are OPEN note, midterm has one front and back and final has 2. On weeks of midterms and final put in about 6 hours to curate study guide, other weeks 30 minutes.

Wendy Mckenna · 2017 · 2017

3 midterms, no cumulative final, and a short paper.
