This class is fine BUT those quizzes are incredibly stressful. You basically need to know every other sentence in the textbook in order to do well, and the readings can pile up if ur not on top of ur shit. Prof. Lindemann is pleasant and entertaining but she will go into the crowd and call on people, so be warned. Pros - no midterm and decently easy final. Cons - more workload than anticipated.

This class was fine as long as you attended the lectures and do the homework readings. Lindemann herself explains the concepts well during lecture, but she is not the most accessible or organized outside of class. She consistently forgets to upload the homeworks (the practice quizzes) and assignments, which just leads to panic and confusion. She also returns the quizzes (which are multiple choice) and graded assignments very late. We are forced to wait 3+ weeks in some cases. But if you just do the work as you are assigned, the class is fine, just tedious to deal with.

I hated this class and genuinely left with nothing. Ask me one thing about psych rn and I couldn't tell you. Her lecturing is boring and the fact that it's mandatory attendance makes me not ever want to attend. She has 5 graded quizzes but you get a cheat sheet for each of them so you're not really expected to memorize anything but they're all multiple choice so either you get it or you don't. We got 6 sheets (front and back so 12 pages total) for the final. I much preferred it because it was free response so you had a chance to actually show your understanding.

I entered this class with a basic knowledge of psychology from high school, expecting a deeper analysis of psychological concepts at the collegiate level; however, the class was underwhelming in both subject matter and Professor Lindemann's approach. While I am biased, as I took psychology before this class, the subject material was even more surface-level than expected for an intro class. Concepts are mentioned and immediately brushed over to move on to the next unit, or they are delved into with such detail that we spend a whole week's worth of time (lectures and discussions) exhausting one topic. The subject material itself is the basics of the basics of psychology and is good if you have absolutely no knowledge of the field, but if you are familiar with any forms of psychology, I would not suggest this class. Professor Lindemann herself means well, she really does. However, her attitude in and outside of class is hard to appreciate, especially when grades, assignments, and messages are almost always late. Do not expect feedback on assignments unless you plan to attend office hours, and even then, I attempted to attend three, and each time she failed to show up, so I was left with no feedback. Assignments themselves are vague and circuitous, as quizzes primarily focus on niche examples from class and not the concept she hashes that you read from the textbook; it's almost a…

Too much information to know on the quizzes, lectures are really boring and don’t even help, attandence is taken.

I'm honestly shocked at how many bad reviews Professor Lindemann received on culpa. She's such a funny and sweet professor and does a great job at engaging the class during lecture. She cold calls on people but she's always supportive and encouraging about it. Loved her class. Content was super easy and straight-forward.

Prof. Lindemann is a great teacher, who made me want to excel in this class, and take more classes within the department even though it is unrelated to my major or minor. The lectures were interactive and engaging, and the discussion sections with her were teaching and quite frankly fun. Her feedback was very clear and she was always willing to sit down in OH and elaborate about every subject in an understanding and clear way. I never found science very interesting, and yet this course and specifically Prof. Lindemann's perspective made me want to broaden my understanding of neuroscience.

Shes doing waaaay too much. The course covers just the basics of psych through many different lens, but the work is seriously stupid and quizzes are unnecessarily hard. She also makes it very clear that going to lecture/the slides are not enough to preform on quizzes and final exam -- reading the textbook is required (and she explicitly puts questions that are only from textbook and not from lecture).

Please save yourself the headache and do not take this class with her under any circumstances. She does not care about her students at all. This is about as bad as a class gets and the worst professor I’ve encountered during my time here so far…

please do not take this professor. i took this class thinking it was going to be an easy A for the science requirement and boy was i wrong. professor lindemann is incapable of answering any questions, responding to emails in a timely manner, and treating her students with respect. in class, if a student asked a question that was extremely related to the material, professor lindemann would say, "that's a really great question, but i don't know the answer...they probably did..." she also claims to check her email multiple times a day, but my emails have gone unanswered multiple times even though i send them at a rational time. additionally, she started the final 6 minutes later than the supposed final time, so we're obviously going to run over the time we had for that space. when another class came to take their final in our location, professor lindemann began to yell at students, telling them to hurry up and how it was unacceptable that they were still writing when she was the one who didn't even start us on time. additionally, a week and a half prior to the exam, she sends us an email with the fall semester's study guide, saying that she's going to send the updated one for this semester soon. she doesn't send ANYTHING about the updated study guide until a day before the exam: "I have decided not to change the review sheet. It is good as is. However, I thought the sample questi…
