I learned a little bit about each of the topics of Psychology that might get covered in later courses. I was taking this class for my science requirement, so I appreciated the overview of a large variety of topics instead of going very deeply into a few. I have already brought up many of the topics we learned in discussions with my family and friends-- I see the topics of Psychology as very applicable to everyday life. I definitely think that everyone should take this course.
Most importantly, I was able to survey many topics in psychology to narrow down my interests in the field to pursue more specific coursework.
Biological and social foundations for psychology.
I have never taken a psych class before, so this was my first experience learning this material. I learned all about the various aspects of psych, with each unit covering a different topic.
