I feel like their involved so much learning of new arabic vocabulary and grammar rules in which can be quite overwhelming as you are constantly exposed to new words. The skills and knowledge I have acquired is the ability of identifying to identify the function of words in a sentence. I think this course actually exposed my flaws to even doing so but it taught me how rich the language of arabic is and once I continue to progress in my learning I will definitely owe it to this course in not only being a better communicator in arabic but in english as well.
I expanded my knowledge of Arabic and learned more holistically about Arabic as a language and culture.
I learned a good amount of the vocabulary and grammar from Al-Kitaab part 1, as well as some additional thematically relevant vocabulary.
In this course, I gained a deeper understanding of the Arabic language, not just in terms of grammar and vocabulary, but also in how it functions in real-world contexts and cultural settings. I developed practical skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and significantly improved my confidence in using Arabic in formal situations. Beyond language mechanics, the course also broadened my perspective on Arab cultures, history, and communication styles. The emphasis on meaningful practice and interactive assignments helped reinforce my learning in a way that felt both enjoyable and effective.

There's a pretty big workload, about two hours of work a night, but between quizzes and daily homework, you end up getting so much regular practice in that when exam time rolls around, it's not so overwhelming.
I really learned how to speak, write, read and understand Arabic in just one semester. I learned tons of new vocab, grammar, and improved my accent. I am way more confident in my speaking abilities than I was when I began this semester.
