CHE M1401 · Fall 2024

10 online practice quizzes on Courseworks that helped keep you refreshed on the content taught in lecture (with one drop) and 4 midterms, with one dropped. Very fair grading. Spent approximately 3 hours on assignments for this during the week

CHEM UN0001 · Fall 2024

A ton. This Professor is excellent. All of the intro basic principles of Chemistry are covered in this course.

CHEM UN1606 · Fall 2024

Absolutely awful. Take Gen Chem instead. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2024 Course: CHEMUN1606_004_2024_3-2NDTERMGENCHEM(INTENS)-REC : CHEMUN1606_004_2024_3 - 2ND TERM GEN CHEM(INTENS)-REC Instructor: Wei Min

CHE M2001 · Spring 2024

Weekly CourseWorks Quizzes (9 out of 10 counted): 20 % In-Class Quizzes (4 out of 5 counted): 10 % Exams (1 midterm dropped): 70 % I spent like 7 hours a week on this class including lectures (3hrs), Office Hours, self-studying + online quiz (2 hours) but this is probably on the higher end.

CHEM W2444 · Spring 2024

Depends on the person. The final takes a ton of studying though. Expect a lot of memorization.

CHEM UN1406 · Fall 2023

Some of the subject matter in Chem II can be difficult and dry but the way that it is presented in this class certainly made it more fun and accessible. For those reasons I would definitely recommend it to others. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2023 Course: CHEMUN1406_001_2023_3-GENERALCHEMISTRYII-REC : CHEMUN1406_001_2023_3 - GENERAL CHEMISTRY II-REC Instructor: Christopher Eckdahl

CHEM UN2445 · Fall 2023

did fine without attending rec 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2023 Course: CHEMUN2445_007_2023_3-ORGANICCHEMISTRY-REC : CHEMUN2445_007_2023_3 - ORGANIC CHEMISTRY - REC Instructor: Christopher Eckdahl

CHEM UN2443 · Spring 2023

I loved this course- I learned how to wrestle through synthesis reactions which is quite difficult.

CHE M1401 · Fall 2024

Going into this class, I was unsure of what to expect, but I am so glad I took this General Chemistry II class! His teaching style is by far the BEST I have seen here at Columbia. He truly cares about his students and wants each and every one to not only learn the concepts but GRASP them. His exams are challenging, but paying attention during lectures and utilizing practice problems will help you. I will 100% take Eckdahl for Organic Chemistry!

CHEM UN0001 · Fall 2024

Preparatory college chemistry thought me the basic terminology for chemistry. I also learned about chemical reaction, elements, compounds, intramolecular forces and intermolecular forces. I feel I am better prepared to tackle General Chemistry next semester.
