Chemistry concepts and problem solving skills.
This recitation expanded my ability to quickly review and practice simple chemistry skills and calculations.
Recitation is great, class is more difficult.
In recitation, my TA was really helpful in explaining the material that was poorly covered in lecture, and we learned how to apply the course content effectively and was given tips on how best to study. We covered quantum chemistry, equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry.
I knew most of the content of the course before I took the class (I took AP Chemistry and IB Chemistry HL in high school). However, I learned a lot about quantum mechanics in the course, and I also learned a good deal about the history of chemistry and chemistry discoveries during the semester.
Much more than I learned in lecture. Cyrus is a much better teacher than Dr. Min and was the only reason I could understand any of the material.
GO TO RECITATION. You will be able to get great answers to your questions, and great explanations of concepts that were explained extremely poorly in lecture.
I would take the course if you a) already know most of the content and b) are able to learn independently.

During the recitation, I learned some of the key components to the various units of study within the semester. The recitations always improved my understanding of the the current material of that unit.
