Preparatory college chemistry thought me the basic terminology for chemistry. I also learned about chemical reaction, elements, compounds, intramolecular forces and intermolecular forces. I feel I am better prepared to tackle General Chemistry next semester.
I learned the general foundations of equations and problems in chemistry. The professor was very helpful in terms of giving us insights into what methods of practice will be useful for our success in Gen Chem I.
In this course, I explored the basic principles of chemistry, such as the concept of Atom, compound, basic binary compounds, the elements and the bondings.

Covered the basics of Chemistry with much overlap with General Chemistry I that is taught here at Columbia, which makes the course very useful to be prepared!
Inorganic nomenclature, chemical reactions, chemical bonding and its relation to molecular structure, stoichiometry, periodic properties of elements, chemical equilibrium, gas laws, acids and bases, and electrochemistry. This course provides the foundation and broad exposure to topics that will be found in the General Chemistry sequence with an emphasis on conceptual ideas.
