-a very advanced level of vocabulary that was very useful -critical historical events and politics that affect the shape of Greece today

Lots of vocabulary, topics in Greece using the Greek language such as immigration, gender equality, history, etc

In Greece Today, I learned so much more about social, political and economic realms of Greece, along with important parts of the country's and the diaspora's history that I was unaware of before. I also gained much more vocabulary in these areas of focus/unit themes.

- How to discuss issues in contemporary Greece such as the refugee crisis, sexism and language, the population exchange in 1923 etc.

I would recommend this to any student that is interested in the language and modern Greece. This course helped me improve many language skills, but especially my comprehension of the language.

I learned some vocabulary. I became better at talking about complex topics in Greek. I definitely was challenged to expand my perspectives on numerous issues concerning Greece today.

I learned a lot of vocabulary and how to write about/discuss topics in Greek current events

I think that the class was good and helped me, but you have to care about the topic to actually find yourself engaged since it isn’t just an advanced Greek class but moire interdisciplinary.
