GERM UN3001

We learned a lot about Berlin and the deep culture of the city. We practiced reading, grammar, speaking, and writing. This class is heavily focused on Berlin, and at first it's not what you expect with a language class but you grow to really appreciate the depth and culture of the city. You practice speaking a lot, great class.

I learned a lot of things about Berlin. I also gained the skills to read a whole novel in German.

I learned about Berlin through the lens of modern school systems, job hiring processes, the economy, and a bit of politics. We also read texts that gave the perspective of living in Berlin during really interesting historical periods, and learned the history behind famous landmarks and architecture in the city. In terms of German, we reviewed the more difficult verb forms and declinations. The readings and immersion during class helped me to incorporate the new vocab we learned.

I learned more about the history of Berlin.

I have improved my writing and reading skills a lot this semester. I also got to know more interesting information about Berlin. This class actually made me like the idea of group work + discussion!

Definitely take this course if you want to keep up with your German.
