I became way more comfortable with understanding spoken german, before this course listening to german it always felt to fast to understand, but I can tell I have improved a lot. I also feel like I learned all the basics of German grammar so that when reading or listening to german, it is no longer mysterious to me why endings are how they are, etc.

The course modules are organized in a smart and helpful way, where you can learn about Berlin through different aspects. You will be able to practice essay writing, resume and cover letter writing, and more according to German standards. Overall, the course is very informative, and Jutta is always there to answer questions and provide reviews of grammar. I greatly expanded my knowledge of german with a ton of new vocab, structures and also reviewed what I knew from before. The course was very thorough and Xuxu made sure we actually understand each consecutive lesson.

This was the perfect course for me in terms of what I was looking for. After having not taken German in a few years, this course allowed me to reacquaint myself with the language, grammar, and vocabulary while discussing a range of topics both directly related to German culture and history and more broad.

Xuxu is an amazing teacher, so don't be scared by the low number of reviews. She is eager to cooperate and happily answers any questions. The material supplied by German department isn't that exciting (the movie is very fun though) but she really squeezed out the most of it. She is very committed and really made the process of learning German so much simpler, from what I encountered before.
