Tom Hafen · 2022 · 2022

Professor Hafen is incredible. He is engaging and makes sense of the materials. This class has provided me with critical marketing industry information, along with helping me to develop skills within the marketing and sales worlds. His attention to details and kind manner, encourage students to perform well and be the best versions of themselves. Professor Hafen and this class are a must take!

How to do conjoint analysis, pricing, distribution strategy etc.

Kamel Jedidi · 2024 · 2024

This course is a great introduction to the fundamentals of marketing: segmentation, customer journey mapping, conjoint analysis, pricing, user experience. By combining Prof Jedidi's expertise with Prof. Morais's anthropological approach, the course delves in the concepts with a sociological / anthropological approach that is very relevant.

Oded Koenigsberg · 2004 · 2004

One group project that takes maybe 6 hours over four weeks, culminating in a group five page paper. Some (pretty optional) reading. Open book, open note final that is straightforward and not hard if you've paid attention in class.

Asim Ansari · 2010 · 2010

Overall a good experience. His into to marketing class was a lot of work - frequent quizzes, two midterms and a final. Pharmasim simalation tied into his class very well and improved the learning experience. Slides were good and complemented the textbook reading (enforced by quizzes!) well. Class very quantitative. He is a good professor and offers a well rounded class. I can imagine how the person from another review was disappointed with the quantitative part of the class - getting a good grade without strong math skills will be hard. That being said, it's basic high school math, and nothing overboard.

Leonard Lee · 2010 · 2010

A final exam (no midterm) that's open book, at least for now, and not too tough as a result; a marketing presentation that your classmates will take very seriously (join a group with a product you really like); weekly assignments that are easy and graded out of 10. You'll only need to know two or three quantitative concepts.
