A general overview of feminist visual culture
In this course I learned a lot about visual analysis and the study of photography and film as a medium to examine social and political structures of gender, race, and sexuality. I also deepened my knowledge of feminist theory. With the course open to people from all sorts of different academic backgrounds, we were able to contribute to each others explorations in an interdisciplinary way, strengthening our writing and analysis skills.
