Who teaches PHYS UN1201

What students said

Cory Dean · 2024 · 2024

kinematics, forces, rotation, oscillation

Gabriel Perez-Giz · 2025 · 2025

Kinematics, relative motion in inertial frames, forces, static and kinetic friction, circular motion, energy and work, torque, rotational kinematics.

Thomas Humensky · 2019 · 2019

hefty, but serves it purpose. 8-12 hrs out of class.

Burton Budick · 2020 · 2020

What's actually assigned is pretty reasonable, a problem set due every week or so. I had to do A LOT of additional work to teach myself the material though.

Michael Tuts · 2025 · 2025

one problem set a week with seven attempts each question. 9 of 11 recitations were mandatory attendance. two midterms (3 questions 3-4 parts each) and one final (6 questions 3-4 parts each) outside of classes, i spent 2-3 hrs. 8 hours for an exam.

Elena Aprile · 2009 · 2009

Work load is relatively light. probelm sets for each chapter every week of about 7 problems, 3-4 of which are randomly selected for grading. 2 mid terms. (She calculates a second curve based on everyone's dropped lowest score. You recieve the better of the two.) Exams are a little tough but very fair, only 4 questions each. Grading of them, however, can be EXTREEMLY strict. Take your time on them.

Jeremy Dodd · 2026 · 2026

psets, 2 midterms, and final. not terrible.

Muath Natsheh · 2023 · 2023

Online homework (usually weekly), 2 midterms, 1 cumulative final

Philip Tuts · 2023 · 2023

I learned about the fundamentals of physics.

P. Michael Tuts · 2026 · 2026

basics of physics -- kinematics/ forces/ rotation/ energy/ oscillation
