Elementary Italian I · Italian
I learned basic Italian vocabulary and sentence structure.
Basic grammatical Italian. I believe I learned more grammar based things than vocabulary based things but that is literally my own fault for not ever studying the vocab in a serious way. i LOVEDDDDDD this class though.
I learned many Italian skills such as vocabulary, speaking, and writing.
manageable and more importantly, it is helpful. extra credit is readily available
Very fair grading! Participation is very important though as your only allowed 2 absences. 4 quizzes but the lowest one is dropped and no final exam, instead its a final project where you create your own website and then present to the class, super chill! Homework is also normal as it's just the online workbook where she assigns a bunch of them due before a quiz.
typical. weekly writing assignments of ~150 words. lots of labs and workbook assignments which are tedious, but department-wide. Tests were fair. If you know your stuff, you can definitely earn excellent grades.
4 quizzes, about 4 compositions, the usual work from the workbook, an oral presentation at the end of the year, and standard midterm/final. (And an opportunity to do extra credit!)
Standard for any beginning language class. Weekly quizzes, about 5 compositions, nightly homework, midterm, final.
Typical for a language class. Quiz every other week, hw due on days of the quizzes, a few short compositions, oral presentation, midterm, final.
Fair workload- about 8 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final, weekly language lab and workbook exercises, brief oral presentation towards the end of the semester.
