Vocabulary for various practical situations in Italy, new grammatical constructs, how to speak a tiny bit better. It was a small course, which I liked because we got more personalized attention from the professor. Definitely a step above the first intermediate course.

Improved speaking and writing skills, as well as learning a few new forms of conjugation and vocabulary.
I improved my understanding of Italian grammar, particularly the use of the subjunctive, past tenses like the passato remoto, and the structure of more complex sentences.
Professor Federica Franze cares so much about her students and really showcases her passion for Italian as well as teaching every week. This semester I learned vocabulary, complex conjugation skills, cultural aspects of Italian, and oral skills as well. I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn the language in a way that actually helps you remember in the future.

The quality of class (for me) really was affected by who was in the class. If you have people excited to learn Italian vs. people just taking it for the college requirement it really affects the class environment.
