Professor Fusco is a brilliant logician, really knew her stuff, and made the seminar very interesting. It perfectly complemented my other classes in Metaphysics and the History of Philosophy (III) -- always walked away with a lot to think about! Modal realism, branching of time, indexicals and their connection to consciousness -- it was all there. Thank you for the enlightened conversation we had every week!

Philosophy of Mind -- the history, debates, theories in philosophy about the mind as our inner experience. How the concept of the mind came to be, and what it says about ourselves as humans.

i want to start by saying i found out she taught us the incorrect material for this course, after seeing a friend's material from a previous semester taught by someone else. this is not an intro course at all btw, but the material is doable. however, she cannot teach. a lot of tangents and switiching subjects, unclear with what was going on in the class 90 percent of the time. i dont recomment this class. although you'llprobably end up with a fine grade. in person miditerm and final along with two papers.

Minimal, 2 papers of 7-8 pages, easy midterm and final, discussion emails for each class

I didn’t have any expectations going into this class. However, I was surprised by and happy with Professor Fusco. I think Professor Fusco’s teaching style is challenging. She reviews what she wants you to take away from the assigned readings in class, so I think it’s important to attend her class. Though she is soft-spoken and at times, lectures too fast, she always takes the time to welcome and answer any student questions. At times, her lectures can be convoluted. However, I think if you are willing to spend even a bit of time either talking to her or performing a quick Google search about concepts you’re unfamiliar with, then you will be benefit greatly in your understanding of the material. Other people might not like this, but I think she’s right for being a *bit* more challenging than other philosophy classes you might have taken. It’s a 3000-level course, so one should expect to actually study and be familiar with the content. In return, she gives you lots of personalized feedback on your essays and topic exercises. The final exam was tricky, but she gave out a generous square root curve. (And I believe another curve on the final grade, but don’t quote me on that). TL;DR: Really elegant lecturer. Medium/ High effort but high reward.

I recommend the course but do know what you're getting into and if its your thing.

This course is exactly how it sounds. Focus on thought, consciousness, and other ontological topics

She's a sweet professor, new this year. Chill and goes on lots of tangents. the class was okay. But don't take her section of cc if you actually want to talk about the readings instead of game theory which was every class.
