Quodlibetal Studies I · Philosophy
Metaphysics, physics, and foundational axioms of mathematics. Research skills — finding a topic of interest and thinking deeply about it in relations to many other topics before starting to write.
I learned about some advanced topics in the philosophy of Aristotle, including his accounts of endoxa, weakness of will, and his metaphysics concerning the four causes.
I will definitely recommend this course to students that are already into metaphysics and are familiar with jargons in philosophy to at least some minimal extent (like having already taken two philosophy courses, I'd say).
The course was perhaps on the limit of being too large. I would caution that if a future iteration of this seminar overfilled (say, more than 25 or so students), that may impact the quality of discussion.
