We term progressed quite naturally from the foundational concepts in the philosophy relevant to cognitive science to current complex debates, to engage with which one requires understanding the foundational concepts. I also improved my ability to write succinctly and became more familiar with basic philosophical forms of argumentation (e.g. modal logic, modus ponens, putting arguments into premise, conclusion form).
