The assignments are split into 4 categories, 1 oral presentation, a few quizzes, a few essays, and a few homework exercises. For the essays, you write it in class and then she returns it to you a few days later with corrections - you make corrections and then hand that in to be graded. The quizzes aren't bad as long as you pay attention in class and study. The homework exercises are usually pretty long but she gives you the schedule for the week with all assignments and due dates about a week before which makes it easy to spread out. On assignments, I usually spend 1-3 hours every week which is not bad at all! Overall Prof. Sellami is amazing and I highly encourage anyone interested to take this class.

Learned everything from knowledge and skills to specific construction of grammar which was very helpful

I learned a lot of idiomatic expressions, about French culture (gastronomy, film, history), and how to correctly express myself in French

If you have to take intermediate french II, definitely take it with Prof. Sellami! She grades assignments and returns them quickly. She really prioritizes learning over grades which makes the class all the more enjoyable. You can tell she really loves what she does and has had an incredible career teaching french all around the world so she knows what she is doing. Intermediate French II is a grammar and composition based class. Prof. Sellami teaches in a very formula based way which makes the grammar very easy to understand. She explains in a thoughtful manner and always takes the time to answer your questions well.
