The second half of Learn to Read Latin, rudimentary methods of translation

I learned the first, second, and third declension of Latin nouns, conjugations of verbs in the 1st through 4th conjugations, lots of Latin vocab, and Latin grammar/syntax.

We were given a comprehensive understanding of foundational concepts of grammar, writing and reading in Latin. We learned vocabulary, declensions and rules. We were able to translate prose.

I wholeheartedly believe that Latin complements our core curriculum very well and Professor Petrella makes Latin an enjoyable and rigorous experience while still keeping the instruction at a practical, comprehensible level.

This course covered the letters of Pliny the younger, as well as some of the poetry of Ovid's Metamorphosis. It is primarily rooted in daily translation, so refining one's grammar is natural.
