Honestly prob the best prob theory prof!! midterms and final almost exactly like the practice exam SO DO THOSE. also lets you have open book exams so very clutch. his lectures are okay but a bit dense and boring and doesn’t follow the slides. homeworks are easy and class is generously curved. he also is a vp at a big bank so cool to hear about the applications of probability to finance. first midterm is def way easier and more fun content but both are relatively easy.

I took this class as a requirement for my major. It's pretty chill. The lectures are recorded and all HWs are from the textbook. The exams are very similar to the sample exams that professor discusses a lecture before the final exam. All exams are open book. HWs are assigned weekly. Overall, I would describe this class as relaxed, and I would recommend taking it with this professor due to the straightforward nature of the exams and homework. While I personally didn't find it particularly enjoyable, if you are required to take this course as part of your major, it should suffice for meeting the requirement.

I think Cristian is a very nice person but not necessarily the best lecturer (which is understandable since this isn't his full time job; if I remember correctly he works as a quantitative analyst). He spent most of class either reading directly off the slides or writing formulas and demonstrating problems on the board rather than explaining the concepts behind them, and his handwriting was also sometimes difficult to read. I found class very fast paced and usually difficult to understand. If you take him, I highly recommend reading through the textbook and slides before class. That being said, Cristian is a very accommodating person who was willing to do essentially anything the class asked him for--sample midterms, sample finals, extra review, etc. He's very friendly and stays after class to answer all questions. The workload is very reasonable as well. He also frequently adds in applications to finance which I found interesting. Overall, if you've taken Calculus-Based Statistics before or are good at math, he might be a good fit for you.

7 HWs: 15%. Lowest score is dropped. Midterm 1: 25% Midterm 2: 25%. Final: 35%. The final grade is curved and the professor is pretty generous with the grading.
