In this class, I learned about the factors that affect the wellbeing and development of children. We read different studies and learned about current policies surrounding the protection and safety of children.
I learned about the various risks that children face from rejection sensitivity to gun violence.

I learned a lot in this course including invaluable information about the Brofenbrenner ecological systems but what I found most interesting was Dr. Downeys research surrounding rejection sensitivity.
About the risk factors that place children at risk of future incarceration and issues and about the manifold solutions to present day risk factors.
I learned how to understand the narrative of a person's entire story, as well as how to understand a community with the same ecological approach. I also learned how to make arguments and proposals for change. These are profound skills I will take with me for the rest of my career in school and elsewhere.
In this course I learned about child development, and how do to analyze the immediate and enduring biological and behavioral impacts, as well as risk factors with children.
So much!! Am amazing class. One of the best I have taken, and I'm a senior. I will remember and talk about this class forever.
