A good review of several social/cognitive psych subjects and introduction/overview to methodology and key recent literature
I learned a lot in terms of connections between social and cognitive psychology and neuroscience. It's interesting to see how intersectional the two are and how everything maps onto different parts of the brain.
I learned about the foundations of social neuroscience and about how to read neuroscientific studies -- interpret results, etc. I also learned about different areas of the brain and how they function.

We learned about the newly growing and relevant field of social neuroscience. We learned how brain imaging has opened up better ways of seeing/understanding the brain and its myriad processes, particularly in the context of social psychology. Research experiments and papers were particularly important in helping us understand theories about the brain and where/how humans process socially relevant information: from emotions, cultural neuroscience, prejudice and stereotyping, neuroeconomics, to relationships, we learned about the brain's role in social interactions.

In this course we learned about how different areas of the brain are involved in formulating our interactions with others both on an interpersonal and on a macroscopic level.
