I'd recommend this course to someone who is confident in their scientific reading and writings skills. The skills are obviously strengthened and shaped through the seminar but it can become overwhelming when trying to write a scientific final paper, if you have absolutely no experience in doing so.

I learned about compensation properties of the brain, synaptic plasticity, plasticity of sensory gating, plasticity of myelin, epigenetics, plasticity in aging, plasticity induced by DBS, the influence of plasticity in the circuits controlling the fear-related behavior, preserved plasticity, the role of plasticity in resilience and on long-term potentiation, etc. I gained significant insights into plasticity. Thanks to this class, I developed a great interest in functional plasticity and epigenetics. Also, I was able to practice my presentation, public speaking, writing, research, critical thinking, and summarizing skills.
