I finally learned how to read and write in Hindi. It was an exceptional course!
Sufficient skills in reading and writing on familiar topics such as: self, family, likes, dislikes and immediate surroundings. The course focused on developing knowledge of the basic grammar of Hindi and vocabulary enrichment by exposing students to a variety of cultural and social topics related to aspects of daily life; and formal and informal registers.

I learned how to read and write in Hindi. I learned basic Hindi grammar and sentence structure.
Professor Ranjan is an amazing teacher and fosters a safe space for learning a new language.
Professor Ranjan is really welcoming to any questions, and will adjust the pace of the class based on whether we are confused or not. He caters the course very much to his students.
This course is extensive but moves at a steady pace. The instructor is incredible and his teaching philosophy is generous to students.
Make sure you are a heritage learner. If you grew up around people speaking Hindi, and have a sense of the language go for it! Prof. Ranjan is incredibly well organized, fair in exams and deeply invested in making you a better Hindi speaker.
