Readings in Hebrew Texts I · Middle Eastern, South Asian, And African Studies
I gained a lot of vocabulary and interesting insights into Israeli society.
The course has clear expectations with a manageable workload.
Expanded my vocabulary. Learned a lot about how family dynamics are challenged when there are differences between the parent's and children's ideologies. This could be on the basis of religiosity (chiloni vs. dati vs. charedi) or simply on growing up in a different time (being the daugher of a Holocaust survivor vs. growing up in modern day Israel).
Synthesizing reading, writing, and speaking skills towards an investigation of culture and society in Israel.
If you're really confident in your Hebrew, then this class is super interesting and fulfilling.
I like this professor a lot. I learned to read and write in Hebrew at a much higher level - which I am happy about because I can go to Israel and communicate like a native speaker.
I improved my reading and Hebrew composition skills.
I learned a lot about the conflicts in israel related topics. the stories were very nice
This course helped me improve my Hebrew writing skills and conversational abilities, along with my literary skills.
Great class to take, even for someone who is already fluent in Hebrew.
