I learned how to solve a variety of differential equations. This is highly useful as a physics major since ODE's are used often, but can be brushed over. However, this class gave me a greater understanding of the math behind the physics problems I complete each week.

Moderate. Ten sets of homework. Two midterms and a final.
The assignments were very reasonable. There were weekly problems sets, and he is very lenient on their due date. You can practically turn them in a week late with no penalty. He also uploads all the problem sets at the beginning of the class, so you can go ahead if you want to. Your lowest score on the psets is dropped. The problem sets do take a very long time and they utilize mathematical techniques you may not be familiar with. Each pset takes around 5-6 hours. They grading is very lenient, however. There are two midterms and a final. The worse midterm will have less weight in your grade. He gives abundant practice problems for the exams, but the exams are challenging. Not all of the questions on the exams are routine problems.
Weekly problem sets, easy but don't be fooled. Both midterm and final were difficult.
Ridiculous and random. A weekly problem set that could take between 15 minutes and 4 hours, worth 15%. Two midterms each worth 20%. A final worth 45% that is extremely difficult and mostly unrelated to lectures.

Easy, but sometimes long, problem sets weekly. 2 midterms and a final with very similar practice tests (DO THEM).
