I learned a lot in this course from general French grammar, to reading, to translation skills, to background information on various scholarly works and historical references.

Generally, I feel that I leave this course with a better ability to translate and parse French.
I learned how to recognize all of the major tenses, conjugations, grammar, idioms and constructions in French to help with translating passages of primary as well as critical academic texts into English.
