UW is a heavy workload. You will spend more hours on this course than you think. It’s 4 essays and you will have constant mini writing assignments or readings to complete (but you don’t have to take those too seriously).
Every UW class requires 4 essays, the material depends on which section you choose: race, gender, sexuality, etc. He's a fair grader, do your best and try to improve on each essay. Meet with him, go to the Writing Center, quite helpful.
I really think your experience with her class depends on who you are. Some people got As pretty easily while others who left reviews said it’s not an easy A. The professor herself is pretty nice and the classes themselves were actually fun sometimes. She was pretty understanding for when you had to miss class or couldn’t submit something on time. As long as you complete all the requirements in the rubric for each essay, you should get a good grade.
It's a mandatory class but important to strengthen writing abilities. He brings quality snacks and is quite encouraging. Ueda guided me from low academic writing confidence to feeling like I could write anything. Just do the work and you'll get a good grade. Take him if you can!

Her feedback is not helpful at all. She’ll give you pointers, but then still say it’s wrong. There’s too much work I don’t have time for this. Her grading is hard, and she makes it very very hard to get an A. She doesn’t make class fun, I’m always bored.
Typical UW class (all of them are the same I think), 4 essays. You will spend a lot of time writing and revising for them, probably 10 hours the week when an essay is due. She has assignments due right before class, these are ungraded, short brainstorming assignments that you don't need to put a ton of effort into, just have something submitted. You can change your idea for an essay even if you write the brainstorm about something else.
Prof Largent is definitely not an easy grader, but I think she's pretty fair. I think she expects you by the 3rd essay to have developed a personal writing style. Her feedback is not the most helpful, but she is a supportive prof. She offers "mandatory" office hours for 3 of the 4 essays, and I would really recommend taking advantage of these for 1on1 feedback.

She is fine. Her teaching style improved throughout the semester, and as usual with UW the grading got less harsh. Although she is a harsh grader overall and doesn’t give the most useful feedback in conferences. You can make every change that was suggested and consult the writing center, and still manage a low B all while you thought the essay was pretty good.
