Not too bad. Some books, two essays, and a research paper.
For Modernity: 3 essays, each with 1 rough draft and 1 revised draft submission. 4 books: Paradise Lost (not the whole thing), Frankenstein, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, Lucy. Not a ton of work, and there are online copies of all the books provided which makes them easier to skim and refer to back later.

Three essays (two of them were 4-6 pages and the final paper is 6-8 pages). Reading for every class, rarely difficult. One provocation, it was not hard. The essays are the hardest part, especially because they are worth so much of your grade and she's such a harsh grader. A couple of opportunities for extra credit.

One short paper and a slightly longer one, I think. no problems. I do recommend doing the readings--I remember skipping them a couple times and feeling totally lost

Three essays that are graded harshly (she doesn't really give out As), readings and short responses due for every class that are graded P/F (she probs doesn't read them) that just guide you to write your essay.
Read excerpts from one text a week (usually around 60-80 pages). Two 3-4 page papers - only final draft graded (20% each), one research paper for the final of 6-10 pages - both first draft and final draft graded (40%), and class participation - includes class attendance (2 missed classes is ok) and 2 mandatory scheduled office hour meetings (20%)
Easy enough, if you can survive the class without wanting to stab yourself with a spoon.
