Some key terms regarding sound as well as some very cool listening/aural projects.

The coursework is easy, but the content/layout I think works better as a zoom class. Sitting in a classroom for two hours listening to student's submissions sometimes isn't very engaging.

I learned about the philosophy, anthropology, and causes and effects of multiple types of sound.

All the things which one needs to know about sound

In Listening, I learned about so many areas in the field of Sound studies and theory. I gained a much higher awareness of my sonic environment.

I learned how to truly appreciate the breadth of the acoustic world and how to write about it despite no prior technical or theoretical knowledge.

This class is amazing. Professor Pemberton is amazing. Take this class.

You must do your work on time for this class. What you give in effort, you get in enjoyment. That being said, if you have an off week there is still so much value in showing up to class alone. This question is not really applicable to Pemberton's course. It's more of a spiritual journey than a class; one doesn't learn skills but learns themselves with it and through it

Writing improved significantly. I learned about different theories of sound and listening and how this seeps into our everyday life and cross borders with other fields of study I am interested in.
