This class is truly about the learning and not the grade. The professor purposely creates a curriculum where every student can succeed no matter what previous knowledge they come to class with. This is probably the best course that's worthwhile of my tuition I've taken so far at Columbia. The class is a big commitment because it meets 4 times a week and can be a hassle to work around scheduling your other classes but it's worth taking if you have some background in Korean. I felt that the level of difficulty was just right and the class never felt too long because there were so many entertaining moments during class. I've learned so much Korean and I actually started texting my parents in Korean. Professor Jung is a really fantastic professor with lots of interesting stories and makes the classroom feel inclusive.
