Methods for conducting an ethnography, and different contexts in which Anthropologists have used them. Also looked at many different ways of writing or compiling an ethnography, depending on what the researcher wants to communicate and what questions they are investigating.

I learned a lot about anthropological theorists and their ideas about the ways in which culture has developed over time, and why certain cultural norms are in place.

This course focused on key examples on how to write a proper ethnography. Through both participant observation and research, students chose a specific location to study.

I gained valuable knowledge about diverse subjects, honed analytical skills, and broadened my perspectives through critical thinking and engaging with multifaceted topics.

I learned about the different ways to approach ethnography (perspectives, senses, media, etc.)

I learned about the foundational theories of anthropology and how the discipline has evolved since its beginnings.

The course provided a great overview of different ethnographic possibilities and helped me build an understanding of what an ethnography should strive to achieve!
