This has nothing to do with Denise or the course, but I am putting on all my course evaluations that the course was negatively impacted by the strike and the unwillingness of the university with its billions of dollars in endowment to support graduate workers. I learned various methods of data collection and methodologies through this course.
in the phd workshop, we learnt about phd applications and tips to selecting potential schools/programs. in the alumni workshop, we gained greater insights into the different careers possible for students graduating from this program, and networking opportunities with alumni.
