The inner-workings of electronic devices, some of the physics behind the components, how to build and troubleshoot common/useful circuits, and the history behind the development of electronic components with respect to applications in engineering and the evolution of computers.

Again, I felt very frustrated in the course due to my lack of deeper understanding of the topics. I think while writing up in my lab notebook, some of the questions would be very hard to answer without a better understanding, and so I felt frustrated. Additionally, I would also be frustrated at this lack of theory because when circuits wouldn't work, I wouldn't be able to diagnose what was wrong, and thus wasted a lot of time trying a 1000 things. Again, I just feel like I wasn't the right audience for this course, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a similar understanding of circuits that I had/have, or for someone who really wants to understand everything about the labs.

I think this is a good class if you are looking to get an introduction to electronics.

Keep in mind that the class meets twice a week for 3 hours each session, which means that missing a class if need be (sickness, interview, etc.) could have you struggling to catch up.
