Electromagnetic Theory · Physics
How to classical electromagnetic radiation works.
Nothing really. I think the course covered astrophysics related material but it was incredibly difficult to follow
This course should not be an introductory grad course to E&M. It
Learned nothing. Typo in notes. Homeworks were impossible unless you already took graduate EM or were an astrophysics student. Many students seemed to be confused most of the time. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2021 Course: PHYSGR6092_001_2021_3-ELECTROMAGNETICTHEORY : PHYSGR6092_001_2021_3 - ELECTROMAGNETIC THEORY Instructor: Brian Metzger

A bit of classical Electromagnetism, polarization of light, theory of radiation, light scattering and relativistic electromagnetic theory.
To solve relatively complicated problems. I was finally able to solve special relativity problems confidently.
You have to take it if you are a graduate student. Otherwise, I would recommend avoiding this class.
You cannot learn anything except astro and radiation. (It might be somewhat helpful if you are doing astro)
Would recommend to anyone who is leaning towards the astrophysics and radiation side of the spectrum. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2022 Course: PHYSGR6092_001_2022_3-ELECTROMAGNETICTHEORY : PHYSGR6092_001_2022_3 - ELECTROMAGNETIC THEORY Instructor: Brian Metzger
