I think the class is very good, but the reason I'm not sure I'd recommend is because I think it depends on the students goals! For any AMO experimentalist, I think this is a 100% must take course. Also, for students who want to dip their toes in atomic physics and see what's going on in the field, it is also great. I think since originally I was very interested in the formalism of all these problems and the math governing the physics, some topics felt a bit incomplete. That being said, I did learn a lot!
