PHIL GR6100

I learned about a variety of areas of interests of my fellow MA students, and had the opportunity to read and hear about their research, as well as read a few influential texts in the history of philosophy, ethics, the philosophy of mind and language, and other areas.

I learned so much in this course. My research and writing skills certainly improved. I now have a better understanding of how to approach research papers of this kind. My presentation skills also improved.

I learned about philosophical topics not familiar to me, due to the variety in interests of the other students. I also learned about how to structure an in-depth research paper properly, and how to break down a larger topic/problem into more digestible and approachable pieces.

Learned a lot about different basic principles and theories in philosophy.

Strongly recommend to any MA student in philosophy. Note, however, that there were only 9 students in this class, which greatly benefited everyone's ability to participate and get quality feedback.

A really good chance to focus on something that you're really interested in, and the opportunity to discuss it in a respectful, intimate seminar setting with other MA students.
