problem sets took a lot of time, but i took the summer course, i think during a normal semester they would be more spread and therefore less stressful.

Ricardo Reis · 2015 · 2015

20% problem sets: 10 problem sets total, weekly (with a couple exceptions like before midterms). I thought they were pretty straightforward and it didn't take me very long to complete them. Working with others definitely helps, but make sure you understand the problems since his midterm and final questions are similar. 30% Midterm (learn how to budget your limited time/do questions quickly) 50% Final There's the option of not taking the midterm so the final counts for 80% but you have to decide the morning of the midterm!

Jon Steinsson · 2018 · 2018

6-12 hours depends on whether there is hw due.

Bruce Preston · 2010 · 2010

6 bi-weekly problem sets (lowest score dropped) 25%, Midterm 25%, Final 50% (or 75% if you do better in the final than in the midterm, in which case the midterm is dropped). Generous curve.

Gouin-Bonenfant · 2025 · 2025

3 homeworks (30%, allowed to use online resources/AI, very fairly graded, not too long), optional PSETS, midterm (35%, was very easy, class average was 30.2/35), and a non-cumulative final exam (35%, in class before finals week, 75 minutes).

Alexei Onatski · 2004 · 2004

A few problem sets (out of the book, pointless), midterm and final (both hard and worth basically all of your grade).
