Professor O'Flaherty's knowledge about so many topics is impressive and he is always ready and able to answer probing questions and comments about the material, but his lecture style of merely talking at us without engaging us in lengthy thought experiments or analyzing data together made the class boring and uninteresting. I would have liked to engage in more class discussion among peers about each subject to apply my learning of the material in lecture. I ultimately learned new things, but only through watching the recorded Zoom lectures in chunks because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to pay attention in the actual lecture room. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2022 Course: ECONGU4438_001_2022_3-ECONOMICSOFRACEINTHEU.S. : ECONGU4438_001_2022_3 - ECONOMICS OF RACE IN THE U.S. Instructor: Brendan O'Flaherty
