A vast review of recent work in behavioral development. We combed thoroughly and finely through recent empirical work with an emphasis on the practicalities of conducting experiments in the field, how the work we were covering might relate to our own research, and some of the practicalities of publishing.
I learned how to conduct field experiments and explored a broad range of topics in development, including health, credit, savings, risk, land, education, and social preferences.
We learned important theories about the constraints people from developing countries face and we got practice working out some of the models.
Must-take for anyone interested in working in developing countries. This course helps lift us in all the ways we need during our early PhD years.
