Not bad, despite CULPA reviews. The content of her exams are very predictable to be honest. If you know how to self-study, or if you attend the TA review sessions, it'll be absolutely fine :)
Average. Team problems or HW quizzes every other lecture, but these are collaborative and open note. 3 exams (including the final). Light on some weeks without paper readings or HW quizzes. I would start studying ~1.5 weeks before each exams.
Honestly, she is pretty fair. I will admit, she is not very brushed up on her organic chemistry, but if you did well in Orgo I/II you will be absolutely fine the mechanisms aren't that difficult anyways. If you go to her office hours or the TA review sessions, you are golden. I really like the HW Quiz/team problem structure because it gives you a lot of opportunity to practice new knowledge in a low-stakes environment. Just put in the work to self-study. The style and content of exam questions themselves gets to be predictable so you know what concepts to focus on. I think she asks very fair exam questions to be honest, once you figure out her style it is not bad.
The workload was slightly above average. You had team problems and hw quizzes every week. 2 midterms and one midterm during finals week.
Going into this class, I anticipated it would be challenging, largely due to Professor Price’s teaching style. From my previous experience taking biochemistry with her, I found that it could sometimes be difficult to ask questions during class or fully clarify certain concepts. At times, exam and assignment questions felt unclear or open to interpretation / ambiguous, and the wording could be confusing. As a result, expectations in the class were not clear.

Was told this class would be chill compared to Danny. Class is just straight poop; nothing is right. MAP doesn't know her organic chemistry, and prefers to lecture about research instead of actual biochemistry. We've spent a bunch of lectures just running through lecture slides without explanation, and when students ask questions her main answer is "I'm not sure I can answer that, I'll get back to you." For a 3 credit class, she expects you to spend hours upon hours outside of class or else you will get terrible grades because her tests are hardly diagnostic of your biochem knowledge. Do you know what she wants you to know? Her favorite protein? The research articles she likes? No? Tough Luck. Please take Danny.
