Learned about Tibet's history from Imperial Tibet all the way through to modern Tibet as a part of China. Additionally, Tibetan culture in photography, literature, print culture, and everyday life.

I learned how to work with primary sources within a research paper. I learned a lot about Tibet from the 6th century until present day.

Learned a ton about Tibet, natch. Learned a great deal about research skills. Unique aspect of this course is sources are sparse compared to most other civilizations, so you have to dig a lot more to discover, which makes it more challenging/rewarding. - .

I learned a lot about Tibetan history, culture, Buddhism, and the shifting regional landscape. I can't fit everything into a brief blurb, but I must say it was very comprehensive.

This course seeks to introduce the sweep of Tibetan civilization and its history from its earliest recorded origins to the present. The course examines what civilizational forces shaped Tibet, especially the contributions of Indian Buddhism, sciences and literature, but also Chinese statecraft and sciences. Alongside the chronological history of Tibet, we will explore aspects of social life and culture.
