We explored different themes around the question of luxury and preciousness in precolumbian art.
All about precolombjan gold, textiles, clay, stones, precolombian indigenous societies and the timeline of colonization. Also learned all about the differences in art and artifacts. Learned how to write a formal art history research essay with innnote citations.
I learned much more about Pre-Columbian art history as well as how to do research for a personal topic.
This was my favorite course I have taken within the art history department.
