Lagrangian, ODEs and some other concepts in optimization problems
Everything related to multivariable equations – limits, critical points, partial derivatives, integrals, maxima etc... as well as vectors, level curves, and complex numbers
I got a in depth refresher on calculus, and I feel good about most of the course material.
Optimization, KT conditions, ODEs, Convex
You cover all of the multivariable calculus that is supposed to be covered in Calculus 3. Xi Shen also did some great mini introductions to linear algebra, complex spaces, etc. You will also learn how to think more mathematically, whether that is quick computational skills or more in-depth computations and problem solving.
In terms of content, we learned about limits, derivatives, and integrals. In terms of skills and perspectives, none.
ODE + lin alg + calculus = ANO!!!! this class was very useful in building my foundational understanding of linear algebra and ODE.
Multivariable limits/calculus, vectors, some linear algebra
I learned about derivatives and integrals. The class really takes pre-calc to the next level and challenges you think critically.
Solving optimization problems inc. those with first and second order ODEs
